Photo transfers are when you print out a photo and transfer it to another surface, like glass or wood. Do do that, you first take the image and cover it in a decently think layer of mod podge, then place it on the surface, the image and mod podge facing the suraface. Take an ID card and lightly scrape out any air bubbles. Let it dry for 24 hours. After, take a wet rag and slowly rub away at the paper, utill you see the image. The purpose of a photo transfer is to creat a physical item with your photograph, and you can use it as a gift, or for decoration.

Installation art is taking a space and transforming it, allowing the audience to be able to interact with it. It is different that painting, photography, and sculptures because with installation art, you can physically walk into the art and interact with it using all your senses. The purpose and function of installation art, just like most art, to get across a message or theme, but with this type of art, it hits the audience more as it really allows them to physically interact with the work.
Shutter speed- The amount of time to when the shutter, or the eye of the camera, should open and let light in. ISO- How sensitive the camera should be to light. Lower the number, the more sensitive it is to light. Aperture- The opening in the lens. By controlling how open it is, you are controlling how much light you are letting in on the photograph. Depth of Field- Focusing on the nearest subject and blurring the background. All four terms work together to take the perfect image depending on the environment. If you are taking a photo in a dark place or a bright lighted place, you can change the setting depending on that to allow your image to be captured correctly.
The purpose of advertisements are to promote products or ides. Public service announcements are to promote specifically ideas for your health and/or safety. Usually in advertisement, the photograph will be of the product or someone very happy while using the product. In PSA's, the photographs are usually much more dark, or sad. They photos use your emotions to cause you to listen to the PSA. In advertisement, the tone is happier and convincing. You can create this theme by using brighter or calm colors. Through my ad, I put in the excitement and adventurous feel that car ads have, but gave it to a remote control car. INSPIRED BY:
Motion blur is the use of shutter speed to take a picture of a moving objects, which then makes the background streaky/blurry and allows the subject to pop. You would use motion blur when photographing an objects that you want to make obvious that it's moving. Motion blur will make the subject look like its moving rapidly. To create motion blur successfully, on you camera you would use aperture, ISO, and most importantly shutter speed. Some challenges of trying to create motion blur is making sure all the settings are perfect so you can get the perfect amount of blur, while making sure the subject isn't blurry. To improve my motion blur technique, I need to give myself more time to be able to experiment with the settings to make sure they're right. Motion blur is difficult to achieve, for my first time, this was my best photo:
Light painting is a photographic technique where you use specific settings on a camera to be able to take a photo of a hand-held moving light. On a camera, you use shutter speed, aperture and ISO to be able to capture the light in the photo. My favorite light painting photographer is Darren Pearson because of the intricate designs and creatures he created in his photographs.
My Favorite street photographer is Anna Delany. Her work in street photography is gritty and really captures street life. Her work varies from use of the rule of thirds, to breaking it to form leading and diagonal lines. She is my favorite street photographer because of how much her photographs capture street life, the high emotions of it, and grittiness of it.
Photo documentary is a body of work that tells a story that revolves around a specific theme. Street photography is candid photographs that are taken in the street. Photo documentary and street photography both have the same "rules" that come with taking pictures, like the rules of composition and making sure you have good lighting. They are different because photo documentary is much more personal and the photographer must for a friendship with the person they are taking a photo of, while street photography is totally a mystery, you don't know the person and they don't know you.
The function of a watermark is so that no one else can take your work. If a watermark has your name or signature, then people can't take it and say that it's theirs, since someone else's name is on it. No one can take my work and say it's theirs since it says "Crystal Centeno-Padilla". I think watermarks are super helpful, they are annoying, but everyone always steals photographs and calls them their own, so a watermark will prevent someone taking your work. Although, you actually have to register your photos with the US Copyright Office to legally protect your work.
